Rowan University sought to craft a short-run publication to be distributed exclusively to key stakeholders across local and state government and industry. The goal was to promote Rowan University’s thought leadership position with respect to the legislated joint College of Health Sciences in partnership with Rutgers-Camden, as specified in the New Jersey Medical and Health Science Education Act of 2012.

A strategic publication was crafted on behalf of Rowan University’s Office of the President to continue the strategic conversation around a truly extraordinary vision for education in the region over the next decade. This piece, titled “Looking Toward 2023,” was the fifth special publication prepared on behalf of Dr. Ali A. Houshmand, President of Rowan University.

In this piece, foundational concepts from previous related publications were reiterated and expanded upon Dr. Houshmand’s transformative vision and larger-than-life ambitions for all who lived and worked in the region. The narrative woven through the pages illuminated a strategic story of potential, possibilities, and tangible opportunities. Throughout the piece, his vision was supported with pertinent data and brought to life through detailed renderings, charts, and infographics. Accompanied by a compelling narrative that addressed the current and anticipated needs of the regional population, the piece endeavored to further the greater conversation regarding the health and wealth of the seemingly often overlooked lower third of the Garden State. Intended primarily for PDF distribution and short-run saddle-stitched local print production, this piece was distributed to key stakeholders as a pre-read and leave-behind during select meetings and ongoing conversations.
