Project

Rowan University’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research & Planning (IERP) surveyed all first-year undergraduate students. The responses gathered through these surveys provided additional information which, in turn, uncovered insights specific to the experience and expectations of Rowan’s newest class of students. Insights informed everything from enrollment management functions to campus counseling to financial aid forecasting and provided an additional measurement point when assessing a broad variety of programs and student initiatives. As part of the IERP staff, the annual executive summary publications featuring highlights from the survey data were crafted.

Tableau-generated charts and graphs visualizing the most recent survey data were translated, the results were compared alongside the past 5–10 years of data to identify trends, and the remaining data was translated into key points accompanied by a brief, easily digestible narrative. The finalized PDF was distributed internally to the university community via email and posted online on the Rowan University Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research & Planning website.
