Graduate School 24in x 36in Posters
Rowan University sought to assess and identify opportunities to promote Rowan University’s graduate programs to the current undergraduate student population on the Glassboro, NJ campus. The Graduate School at Rowan University lacked campus posters to boost awareness among undergraduate feeder programs. This was a noticeable gap, considering The Graduate School’s primary pool of applicants and enrollments had historically been drawn from Rowan alumni.
APPROACH & OUTCOME
The few past samples that existed were assessed—and likely were not created by The Graduate School but instead by an individual program/department as ad hoc promotional content for their individual graduate offering(s). A set of 24” × 36” posters was created for The Graduate School at Rowan University, featuring each of the academic colleges offering graduate-level degree and certificate programs. The layout and design echoed the core Rowan-branded marketing at the time. Rowan University brand-compliant yellow top and bottom bars, screened script lettering in the background, stylized type treatment, and additional touches visually united the series. This seemingly simple awareness and reputational enhancement tactic was one component of the complete marketing mix leveraged to drive marketing activities for more than 60 post-baccalaureate, master’s, post-master’s, and doctoral degree programs offered by Rowan University. This work contributed to a 23% year-over-year graduate program enrollment increase.
