Graduate School Printed Brochure Series
The Graduate School at Rowan University’s printed brochures were the primary way for prospective students to learn more about Rowan’s graduate degree and certificate programs at on-campus info sessions and offsite grad fairs. The content of these brochures was outdated. Further, the layout and design was not cohesive. An update to the full suite of informational materials used at in-person events was necessary and deemed a top priority.
APPROACH & OUTCOME
Existing past samples were reviewed and assessed. An updated suite of printed brochures for The Graduate School at Rowan University was produced, featuring each of the academic colleges offering graduate-level degree and certificate programs. The brochures were full color, full bleed, double sided—finished in a trifold sized to fit standard brochure/rack card holders.
Content was updated with intentionally timeless copy about each academic college and school, including all accreditations, awards, rankings, and other relevant trust points. Every degree and post-baccalaureate certificate program was also reviewed and updated for accuracy. The layout and design echoed the core Rowan-branded marketing publications of the time, while effectively differentiating The Graduate School’s offerings from those of related undergraduate programs.
This standard traditional print tactic was one component of the complete marketing mix leveraged to drive marketing activities for more than 60 post-baccalaureate, master’s, post-master’s, and doctoral degree programs offered by Rowan University. This work contributed to a 23% year-over-year graduate program enrollment increase from 2009 to 2010.
