INTRO & GOAL
Greater Somerset County YMCA planned to launch YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program at Somerset Hills YMCA, with a plan to expand to Hillsborough YMCA and Somerville YMCA as enrollment and staffing grew over time. The program required the inclusion (or explicit exclusion) of specific wording, program participation details, and other criteria that supported the weight loss, blood test, and other related claims directly following the clinically studied program. Compliance review and approval were required by YMCA of the USA before launching (or substantively editing) any program marketing or participant materials.
STRATEGY & PROCESS
Worked with YMCA of the USA to standardize all messaging and informational content regarding the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)-approved YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program developed in partnership with the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
SOLUTION & OUTCOME
Ensured 100% compliance regarding key claims, language support options, and approved photography in all marketing communications tactics, including posters, flyers, brochures, website content, member newsletter placement, digital display signage, targeted email campaign, and social media content. Met all internal promotional and event requests for print and digital materials necessary while ensuring continued compliance with YMCA brand standards and YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program requirements.
